I am a long time resident of Crystal Lake. My husband and I have chosen to raise our three children here in McHenry County, Illinois because of the wonderful community and quality of life. We realize the importance of being involved in our community and the positive impact we can make on others.

I am a passionate community activist involved in organizations from School PTO President to McHenry County Youth Sports Board of Directors and Crystal Lake Community Harvest to Stuff the Duffel by Second Bridge. I served 10 years on the Crystal Lake Planning and Zoning Commission prior to being elected to the Crystal Lake City Council in 2009.

During my nearly four years on the City Council I was an advocate for groundwater protection, sensible growth, economic development, and consistency in governance. I have continued these fundamental beliefs since being first elected to the McHenry County Board in 2012.

As a current McHenry County Board Member, I have been fortunate to gain a great deal of experience and leadership opportunities. I am the McHenry County Representative, and on the Executive Committee, of the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning. I have Chaired the Planning and Development Committee, Township Consolidation and Census Demographics Task Forces, Vice Chaired the Natural and Environmental Resources Committee and the Stormwater Commission, and been Liaison to the McHenry County Conservation District. I currently hold a Republican Minority Leader appointment on the Fox River Flood Control Commission.

I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in General Engineering specializing in Environmental Quality. My education, municipal and county backgrounds, along with my regional planning experience on the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning Board of Directors, makes me the logical choice to represent the 66th Legislative District in Springfield.
